Tributes flow for Manchester City legend Francis Lee.

Francis Lee passed away at the age of 79 after a long battle with cancer. Lee’s feats both on and off the pitch for Manchester City and at other clubs made him not only a City legend but a legend of the game. Tributes have flown in for the former England international.

The tributes for Lee speak volumes about the mark he left on City and the game. Personal tributes also reflect just how good a person he was to match the player and legacy he left behind.

One of his former clubs, Derby Country paid a touching video tribute to Lee. The striker was a part of their 1974/75 First Division title.

His first club Bolton Wanderers, which he debuted for at the of 16 left a touching tribute to the former England international. Lee played for the club for 8 years before joining Manchester City.

Current Burnley manager and former City captain Vincent Kompany posted a heartfelt message in memory of Lee.
