Phillips and Grealish dropped to the Man City bench against Wolves

Manchester City have travelled down to the Molineux to face Wolves and Guardiola has selected his men for battle.

In a line up that contrasts the personnel involved in the midweek defeat following an overall poor performance.

Both Grealish and Phillips have dropped to the bench, while Doku and Nunes start.

Nunes will return to his previous employer and will undoubtedly get some stick after forcing his move in the summer.

Nevertheless, he looked sharp and menacing when he came on as substitute midweek. Meanwhile, Phillips performed well, though some accused him of not being at “City’s level”.

It would be hard to argue against that. He looked sluggish at times and uncomfortable under pressure on the ball. However, he has major lack of game time and therefore, would understandably be off the pace.

Similarly, Grealish also looked slow and out of form. Again, lacking game time due to injury, he will improve following game time for match fitness.

On the other hand, Doku made a short cameo midweek and was on fire. He looked like he was going to create every time he was on the ball.

Foden returns to the starting line up after being rested midweek, and ca presume he will be on the right wing coming inside with Walker on the overlap.

It is a strong line up, however Wolves away is a challenge.
