His ability in tight spaces and his playmaking ability was on show in a promising display. Bobb has shown plenty for City in his appearances so far this season.
Kalvin Phillips was handed a rare start in the defeat. While he wasn’t outstanding, the performance was a step in the right direction for the England international. The hope is now he can build into the season and be a solid contributor for Pep Guardiola this season.
With Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic back from injury, the game wasn’t a waste for Manchester City. It was another positive out of last night’s defeat.
