Haaland drops to the bench, although Alvarez has kept his starting spot. It looks like he will play in his natural position in the Carabao Cup clash.
Gomez also comes into the starting side, potentially in a more attacking role which some fans have been eager to see.
The Blues are stronger than Guardiola led on in the build up to the game, however he does take his Carabao seriously.
Nevertheless, Newcastle have also made multiple changes to the starting line up. So this could be a more entertaining contest than anticipated.
