Nunes is settling in well and not afraid to get stuck in

New Manchester City signing Matheus Nunes is settling in well. He plays like he was made for the Blues.

Despite the early days of his debut season as a Blue, he has been impressing fans.

His ability on the ball, carrying the ball through midfield and linking up with those around him have been great to watch.

While his talent was evident at his former club, he appears to have stepped it up a notch. Now that can’t only be Guardiola coaching, considering that have not been together long.

Some questioned his attitude when he forced his move from Wolves. But understandably, when City come calling, a player will do everything they can to make the move happen.

He has an excellent mentality which could be seen during the challenging game against Nottingham Forest. Despite an excellent first half, where the Blues were in complete control – as usual, it got out of hand in the second half.

Following Rodri’s sending off, Cooper threw everything he had at City. And we had to dig deep to maintain the lead and secure the three points.

During the period of dominance, Nunes looked fantastic. Linking up well with Foden, Alvarez and Haaland. Resulting in his first assist for his new club.

Nunes also played a crucial role in defending City’s lead. Joining Phillips in a deeper role, adapting to the shift in shape without struggle.

He looks to be a solid signing so far and he has big ambitions for the season ahead.
