The Serbian champions dominated last season’s Serbian SuperLiga season. Red Star Belgrade clinched the title with a whopping 22-point gap to their nearest challenger. The Serbian giants also claimed the Serbian Cup to make it a season to remember for the one-time UEFA Champions League winners.

They do however come into this game after making a stuttering start to the new season. Red Star currently sit third in the Serbian SuperLiga table, after 5 wins and 2 losses to start the season. The Serbian champions however will be determined to put in a good display against the reigning European champions.

Manchester City come into the game in strong form after the weekend win over West Ham. With 5 consecutive wins to start the Premier League season, City have laid down a solid platform to start the season.

Pep Guardiola’s side will however be without John Stones, Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic for the Champions League group stage opener. The trio missed Saturday’s clash with West Ham and will again miss out here.
