Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola shares his thoughts ahead of Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League Group G opener against Red Star Belgrade in the video below. The European champions begin their quest to defend their title at the Etihad. It will be the first time in the competition as the title holders for City.
Pep was in a determined mood before the tournament kicks off. He told the assembled media that the hunger remains amongst his squad. Off the back of last season’s treble success, his squad is determined to go again this season. City captain Kyle Walker also spoke of the hunger and determination amongst the Manchester City squad.
Guardiola also provided an update on the injury situation with John Stones, Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic. The trio are set to miss the visit of Red Star Belgrade.
