Manchester City vs West Ham starting lineups announced

Manchester City and West Ham have named their starting lineups ahead of Saturday’s game. The European champions will be without John Stones, Jack Grealish, Mateo Kovacic and Kevin De Bruyne for the clash with the Hammers. De Bruyne is a long-term injury but the other three should be back sooner as their injuries aren’t expected to be long-term injuries.

Manchester City: Ederson (GK), Walker (C), Akanji, Ruben Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Foden, Doku, Julian Alvarez, Haaland.

Bench: Phillips, Sergio Gomez, Matheus Nunes, Lewis, Bobb, Ake, Carson (GK), Stefan Ortega (GK).

West Ham: Areola (GK), Coufal, Zouma (C), Aguerd, Emerson, Edson Alvarez, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Lucas Paqueta, Bowen, Michail Antonio.

Bench: Cresswell, Pablo Fornals, Kudus, Mavropanos, Ings, Ogbonna, Benrahma, Kehrer, Fabianski (GK).

With injuries to John Stones, Jack Grealish, Mateo Kovacic and Kevin De Bruyne the treble winners have named two goalkeepers on the bench. Also due to injuries City has named 8 men on the bench instead of the usual 9.

West Ham will come into the game full of confidence due to their unbeaten start to the season.

A tough test will await Pep Guardiola’s side at the London Stadium. With the starting lineups named, kick-off is now less than an hour away.
