Manchester City players dominating the September international break

While we wave “see you later” to Manchester City football for a couple of weeks. We can catch our Boys in Blue in action as sixteen first team players are called up to international duty.

Some find the international break boring. However, others see it as an opportunity for players to continue building match fitness following the summer holidays.

There will be plenty of City talent on display over September’s international break.

Nathan Ake has been called up for the Netherlands. Following his contribution to the home win against Fulham, the controversy will not stand in his way.

Despite a precautionary spell absent from the squad, Akanji returned to the starting line-up ono Saturday. He has been invited to join Switzerland and will hopefully return fully fit.

Rodri will join Spain for their Euro Qualifiers. Meanwhile, new signings Kovacic and Gvardiol will both join Croatia as they face Latvia and Armenia in Group D of the Euro Qualifiers.

Southgate has called upon Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Kalvin Phillips and Phil Foden to join the England squad.

Our two strikers Haaland and Alvarez head off to their national teams following an incredible tag team at the weekend.

Jeremy Doku made his home debut at the Etihad before he links up with Belgium. And our Portuguese superstars Dias and Bernardo will take part in the Euro Qualifiers.

By the time they return to resume Premier League action, there will be a boost to the squad. Guardiola will re-take his seat as Head Coach, and John Stones will make a return from injury.

The Boys in Blue will want to pick up where they left off. Winning. We will face West Ham away, who are also in good form.
