Foden returns to the starting line-up as Man City host Fulham

Manchester City welcome Fulham to the Etihad today during festive celebrations for their sister club, Bahia.

While the Etihad will be rocking literally, we could argue figuratively as the Blues receive a fitness boost.

During his press conference for ManCity.com, Lillo confirmed the return of Foden. He is fully fit and will be starting in midfield versus Fulham.

Lillo also confirmed that both Stones and Akanji are almost ready for their comeback.

However, Akanji does make the starting XI today. He will be in the backline alongside Walker (C), Dias and Ake.

Fans will be excited to see new signing Jeremy Doku make his debut at home. The young winger was signed this summer from Rennes. While he did feature on the bench during the trip to Bramall Lane, he did not get used as a substitute.

Unsurprisingly, Ederson is named in the starting XI after upping his game since the Winter World Cup.

The partnership of Rodri and Kovacic will be back. They have become a fantastic pair in the middle of the park for the Blues.

It is looking like Doku will be joined in attack by the leagues two best strikers, Haaland and Alvarez.

After Cole Palmerโ€™s exit, it is reassuring to see Oscar Bobb on the bench for City today. He is joined on the bench by new signing Matheus Nunes who will be hoping he can come on and make his home debut.
