Manchester City assistant Juanma Lillo has confirmed that Phil Foden is set to return to the City lineup for this weekend’s clash with Fulham. Saturday’s clash with the Cottagers is City’s last game before the upcoming international break. The treble winners will look to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season in the clash with Fulham.
Speaking in his pre-game press conference Lillo confirmed Foden’s availability. He also had positive updates on the fitness of Manuel Akanji and John Stones. When asked about the star trio’s fitness Lillo said: “Right now, Phil is completely recovered from his illness. Manu’s problem was more for prevention, it wasn’t anything serious. He’s more or less there. John is more or less there as well. We’re fine, we’re okay.”
