Wolves accept Manchester City’s bid for Matheus Nunes

It has been reported that Wolves have accepted a bid from Manchester City for Matheus Nunes.

Loic Tanzi of L’ Equipe reports via his X account that the Midlands club have accepted the treble winner’s bid for Nunes. He further adds that Wolves are now actively looking for a replacement for the Portuguese international.

In addition to Loic Tanzi’s report, Fabrizio Romano adds that City and Wolves have agreed on a deal for the Wolves midfielder. Romano further adds that a fee has been agreed, upon with City youngster Tommy Doyle moving to Wolves for £5 million.

Tom Collomosse of the Daily Mail earlier reported that City and Wolves had resumed talks over Nunes. In addition, he added that the clubs were discussing the final details of the deal.

With a report of Wolves accepting Manchester City’s bid for Matheus Nunes, the deal has accelerated this morning. The champions were in the market for another midfielder to fill the void left by Kevin De Bruyne’s long-term injury.

With reports that a deal has been agreed it appears City may get their man. With the window due to close on September 1st Matheus Nunes addition will be a welcome one for City.
