A treble for the City Women at the PFA Awards

While the Manchester City men received plenty of recognition during the PFA Awards. City Women also had their fair share of success.

The Blues picked up multiple awards following a successful season at all levels across the club.

Yui Hasegawa, Alex Greenwood and Bunny Shaw were all named in the PFA Barclay’s Women’s Super League Team of the Year.

All three had fantastic seasons for Gareth Taylor’s side. With Bunny Shaw giving Erling Haaland a run for his goal-scoring.

She netted 31 goals in just 30 games, becoming the clubs highest scorer for the City Women.

Her success saw her all the way to the knock out rounds of the Women’s World Cup where she captained her side.

Alex Greenwoods impressive performances last season won her an extended contract with the club after proving her importance to the Women’s team.

Given that Yui Hasegawa joined the Blues last summer from West Ham, she settled into the midfield quickly. With a pass completion rate of 89%, she became a vital part of the 22/23 campaign.

An excellent night at the PFA Awards for Manchester City.
