Manchester City sweep honours at the PFA Awards

Manchester City were represented well during the PFA Awards. Honours in which are voted for by peers and fellow professionals.

It comes as no surprise to see five players named in the Premier League Team of the Year following the Treble campaign.

A season in which the Blues bounced back from second to first in the closing stages of the season. Ultimately reclaiming our Premier League title for the third consecutive season.

Haaland was named both in Team of the Season and also voted Men’s Player of the Season. Just two more individual accolades to add to his many others from an outstanding debut season.

Kevin De Bruyne was another name in Team of the Season for an incredible fifth time. It is unfortunate that he will miss out following surgery which will keep him out until 2024.

However, sources close to the club maintain that he is focusing on his recovery.

John Stones has been voted into the Team of the Season for a second time. While an incredibly underrated player, this accolade nods to the talent, skill and intelligence he displayed during a history making season.

His defensive partner Ruben Dias also featured in Team of the Season. Again, not for the first time. Following an injury, he transformed City’s defence in our incredible unbeaten run.

Last but certainly not least, Rodri made the Team of the Season too. Arguably the Blues’ most important player. He was key during the Treble win.

A good night for the Blues at the PFA Awards – next up, Fulham at home.
