Manchester City are becoming increasingly confident of securing Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports.
Romano has reported on the champion’s increasing confidence in securing the Portuguese international via his exclusive Substack column. In addition, he adds that City wanted the deal concluded by last Friday or Saturday. But as that didn’t occur, negotiations have continued between the two clubs.

Fabrizio Romano also reported yesterday that Manchester City had submitted a second bid for the Wolves midfielder. After seeing their first bid rejected the European champions have returned with another bid of over €60 million in the hope of concluding a deal for Matheus Nunes Romano further reports.

With the transfer window due to close at the end of the week, Manchester City are now moving quickly to complete the deal with Wolves. With a second bid submitted it does appear that the treble winners are confident of closing the deal.
