He caused the home defence a multitude of problems at the back. His intelligent runs and picking up pockets of space, he was a nightmare to defend.
With a lack of recognised free-kick taker, young Alvarez asserted his skill and technique.
Plenty of South American energy to run rings around Sheffield United. He will be one to watch this season if this is just a glimpse of his development.
