Jack Grealish put in his best performance of the new season in City’s hard-fought 2-1 Premier League win over Sheffield United. After starting the season slowly the England international burst to life in the second half of a hard-fought contest.
For the first 45 minutes, the treble winners were frustrated by a stubborn and determined Blades defense. Come the second half the champions upped the ante. Grealish lifted his game on the left wing as City pressed to finally break down a stubborn Blades rearguard.

After a plethora of chances had come and gone, it was a determined Jack Grealish drive that set up the opener. He surged into the box and got to the byline to provide a perfect cross for Erling Haaland to head home. It finally broke down Sheffield United and was Grealish at his sparkling best.

It wouldn’t be the game-defining moment as the Blades equalised through Jayden Bogle in the 85th minute. Rodri would then win the game with a rocket in the 88th minute to maintain City’s perfect start to the Premier League season.
The England international showed great signs in his best performance of the season. If Grealish is returning to his best it will be a huge boost to the European champions. His creativity is vital to City’s game so it was a huge positive out of the game.
With Fulham next for the treble winners before the international break, Grealish returning to his best form is a welcome sight.
