Manchester City are set to submit their final bid for midfielder Matheus Nunes it has been reported. After seeing their first bid for Nunes rejected by Wolves, the champions are set to return with another bid to try and secure the Portuguese international’s services.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported the news of City bidding again for Nunes. He adds that the two sides have been in talks since City’s opening bid was rejected. In addition, Romano reports the new bid from the treble winners is likely to be their last bid for Wolves key man. He further reports that Matheus Nunes wants the move and City have been active in talks with Wolves.

Alex Crook of Talksport has also reported that City are set to bid again for the midfielder. He further reports that City youngster Tommy Doyle may head to Wolves as part of any deal for Nunes. In addition to the possible Doyle move, Crook adds that Nunes has made it clear to Wolves that he wishes to join the European champions.
If this is the last bid from City for Matheus Nunes, it does appear the treble winners are confident in securing their man. After talks have continued between the two clubs after City’s initial bid was rejected, it does give the impression that a deal could be sealed imminently.
