Aymeric Laporte says goodbye to Manchester City fans ahead of move to Al Nassr

Aymeric Laporte has said a heartfelt goodbye to Manchester City fans ahead of his move to Saudi club Al Nassr. In keeping with his fan-favourite tag, it was a beautiful touch from the much-loved Spanish defender.

Posting on his Twitter account Laporte went on to thank every section of Manchester City for his time at the club the past 5 and a half years. He went on to thank fans, staff, the board and his teammates for the good, the bad and everything in between.

Aymeric Laporte made 180 appearances for Manchester City since arriving at the club from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018. He also scored 12 goals for the club during his spell at the treble winners.

He also leaves with a plethora of trophies from his time at the Etihad. Laporte leaves with 5 Premier League titles, 3 Carabao Cup titles, 2 FA Cup winners medals, a UEFA Champions League crown and a UEFA Super Cup winners medal from his time at Manchester City.

More importantly, Aymeric Laporte leaves as a much-loved player from his time at City. Laporte has always been a fan favourite since arriving at the club. He played his way into City fan’s hearts through his lion-hearted efforts on the pitch. His heroic effort at the back end of the 21/22 campaign of playing injured was vital in Manchester City beating Liverpool to the 21/22 Premier League title.

Manchester City fans everywhere wish Aymeric Laporte all the best with his imminent move to Al Nassr and for the future.
