A loan deal with an obligation to buy is on the verge of being completed reports Fabrizio Romano. He additionally reports that it is a matter of time before the deal is complete. Romano has previously reported that the Portuguese international has been a priority target for Barcelona.

During his spell at the club before leaving on loan to Bayern Munich, his quality was on show with the treble winners.
