The news comes following the exclusion of Doku in Rennes starting XI at the weekend, despite his excellent form.
While Manchester City’s squad has been depleted following the exits of key players and injuries.
The reports of a new winger will be celebrated by fans who were crying out for additions to the squad.
A fast winger will give Guardiola an alternative option. Moreover, it will free up the likes of Foden and Bernardo for midfield.
The injured Kevin De Bruyne talks highly of the Belgian winger, though will not play with him until 2024 when he returns from recovery.
According to Romano, the Blues faced competition for the signature of Doku. However, it now looks like they will have their man.
