Latest rumour on the street, or online anyway, is that Manchester City are open to loan offers for Kalvin Phillips this summer.
The midfielder has been unable to get his career under Guardiola off the ground following his move from Leeds.
Despite his efforts during pre-season, he has still not been able to impress Guardiola.
The Blues desperately require adequate back up for Rodri, however it seems that Phillips might not be the man.
While he was excellent during his time at Leeds United, we are yet to see the same level of performance. It could be argued that he needs a run of games to settle in. Yet when he has appeared, he has looked off the pace.
It is a long season ahead, and with the depleted squad as it is, allowing Phillips on loan would be a huge statement from City bosses.
