Cole Palmer put in a man-of-the-match display for Pep Guardiola’s side. The right winger was a constant menace and deserved his goal in a dynamic display. It does appear that Palmer is ready for more regular first-year football this season.
Also, the game saw the first start for new boy Josko Gvardiol. It was a promising start for the Croatian defender. He appeared to have settled in quickly to the City set-up and is one to watch going forward.
