Manchester City have had a hectic summer transfer window so far. While they have been able to confirm the double Croatian signing in Kovacic and Gvardiol, they have lost experience.
Both Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez left the club earlier this summer. With Gundogan heading to Barcelona who have been unable to register him thus far, and Mahrez joining the Saudi Pro League.
This leaves the Blues potentially short in Premier League and title winning experience. Nevertheless, the remaining squad holds enough experience to enable newcomers while maintaining title challenges.
And no doubt any incomings will have watched City in awe last season and hope to continue the success.
However, City bosses still hope to bring new additions to the squad this summer. In the hopes to reinforce attacking areas, they will look to bring in a winger and midfielder according to sources close to the club.
Latest rumours have linked the Blues with interest in Paqueta. The West Ham midfielder has had his head turned at the prospect of working with Guardiola, though his price is not desired by Man City.
