City bosses have been attempting to entice the right-back into extending his contract with the club.
However, Bayern Munich had made it clear earlier in the transfer window that they were interested.
Bayern’s flirting with the England international has been heavily report in the media.
But City wanted to keep their man. He has been captain during pre-season and featured in all pre-season games, including the Community Shield.
Pep Guardiola stepped in. He wined and dined Walker before the Community Shield clash with Arsenal. Now it seems he will remain a Blue.
Moreover, reports state that he will sign a contract extension which will see a salary increase for him.
