Manchester City target Michael Olise has a release clause in his contract according to multiple reports.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Crystal Palace winger has the £35 million release clause in his contract. The winger has emerged as a transfer target for the champions since Riyad Mahrez departed the club.

Matt Woosnam of the Athletic also reports that the £35 million release clause is active in Olise’s current contract. The French winger is currently contracted with Crystal Palace until 2026 Woosnam adds.
The Crystal Palace winger is currently out injured. He suffered a hamstring injury on international duty for the France under-21 squad against Norway. His current injury is expected to keep Olise sidelined until October. The injury may factor into any possible bid the treble winners may make for the talented young Frenchman.
As it stands Manchester City could face competition from Chelsea for Michael Olise. The London club have also been linked with a move for the Palace star which was also reported by Fabrizio Romano.
With an active release clause in Crystal Palace’s star man’s contract, it would make negotiations over any potential transfer an easier task for the Premier League champions. It would eliminate the long-winded transfer negotiations that were seen in the imminent Josko Gvardiol deal with RB Leipzig.
Whether or not Manchester City’s interest in Olise materializes into a concrete offer remains to be seen, but the path to possible successful negotiations does seem a lot easier via the release clause in his current Crystal Palace contract.
