With the Gvardiol medical likely to go ahead on Friday, there is a slim possibility he may be a part of the City squad for Sunday’s FA Community Shield against Arsenal.
After yesterday’s news of an agreement being reached between the two clubs, all that remains are the formalities to be completed before Josko Gvardiol can officially be announced as a Manchester City player.
