Manchester City have finally come to an agreement with RB Leipzig for defender Josko Gvardiol.
Reports yesterday indicated a deal between the two clubs was near. News has broken today that a deal between the clubs is in the final stages as they iron out the final details.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal for Gvardiol will be signed by the end of the week. He adds that the Croatian international is scheduled for a medical on Friday. Further to his report, he adds that the deal will make Gvardiol the most expensive centre-back in world football for €90 million.

German newspaper BILD has also reported that the deal for Gvardiol is now agreed between the clubs. The Croatian international has been withdrawn from the DFB Pokal winners’ squad for their friendlies against St. Truiden and Altglienicke.
BILD also adds to their report that a friendly between the two clubs has been agreed at a future date.
Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail has also reported that the clubs have agreed on a £78 million fee for Gvardiol to move to the Premier League champions.
With the news of a deal for Josko Gvardiol finally being agreed between RB Leipzig and Manchester City, the champions will have finally secured Pep Guardiola’s number one target this transfer window on the eve of a new season beginning.
