Manchester City interested in Crystal Palace youngster Michael Olise

Manchester City had been linked with a potential move for Michael Olise earlier this summer.

However, Sam Lee  of The Athletic has now confirmed that he “fits the profile” of winger the Blues are aiming for. Nevertheless, Lee also reports that City are not willing to pay more than £50m for the player.

Olise has arguably been one of Crystal Palaces most exciting players over the last two years. With more than 65 appearances under his belt, he has enough top flight experience to challenge for a spot in Guardiola’s squad.

A typical winger with plenty of creativity. Though not necessarily at the level or with the experience of Mahrez. He is however, young enough to develop well under Peps guidance.

He has been a key player for Palace, and they are unlikely to take anything less than £50m.

The Blues have not been reliably linked with any other winger in the transfer window so far.

Sam Lee reporting for The Athletic said:

“Manchester City’s summer transfer window is becoming rather complicated.”

“That is one of the reasons Bernardo Silva is key to the remaining plans: it is not yet known whether he will play out wide or in the middle this season.

Interestingly, Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Olise has a £35m release clause which could turn Txiki’s head.
