Josko Gvardiol deal finally on the verge of completion

The ongoing transfer saga for Josko Gvardiol is finally on the verge of completion.

Reports have indicated that there has been a breakthrough in talks between Manchester City and RB Leipzig for the Croatian international.

Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail has reported the news that the treble winners are attempting to conclude the Gvardiol deal before Sunday’s Community Shield.

He adds to his report that the clubs have almost reached a full agreement after talks on Tuesday. Gaughan also adds that the transfer fee is likely to be under the £86 million valuation that the DFB Pokal winners had for Josko Gvardiol.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has also reported that the Croatian defender could be a City player by the weekend. Romano reports that the clubs are in active talks after agreeing a fee ten days ago.

The fresh reports indicate that an end is finally in sight in the ongoing transfer saga for Josko Gvardiol. On the eve of a new season, the young defender’s imminent arrival will boost the champion’s squad ahead of their treble defense.

With the deal for their number one target this window almost secured, City can now shift their focus onto other transfer targets this window.
