Josko Gvardiol deal starting to take shape

Reports overnight have suggested the deal to take Josko Gvardiol to Manchester City is starting to take shape.

It was reported last week by Fabrizio Romano that the deal was done. That has since turned out not to be the case as negotiations have continued between the clubs.

RB Leipzig director of sport Max Eberl has since told the media that the clubs were far apart in their valuation of the Croatian star.

Sportbild of Germany has reported that Manchester City have returned with an improved offer. They report that the treble winners have now offered €90 million plus adds to seal the deal. The new offer is close to the DFB Pokal winner’s valuation of their star man.

They add to their report that the deal is expected to be completed ahead of the transfer window closing.

As news filters out of the deal finally being on the verge of being completed for Josko Gvardiol, it will bring an end to the ongoing transfer saga. The two clubs have been in talks for months over the deal as Manchester City aim to secure their major target this transfer window.
