West Ham are close to sealing a deal for young Manchester City winger Carlos Borges.
The young winger has previously been linked with a move this window. Luke Pawley of the Nottingham Post previously reported on Nottingham Forest’s interest in Borges. It now seems West Ham has seized the initiative in the race for the youngster’s signature.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that West Ham is getting close to a deal for the treble winners young Portuguese winger. He adds that a verbal agreement is in place, with a reported fee of £14 million being agreed. Romano further adds that Manchester City will have a buy-back clause inserted into the deal.

Carlos Borges was a star performer for the Manchester City EDS side last season. The youngster was named the PL 2 player of the year after his fantastic 22/23 season. He scored 29 goals, and contributed 18 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for the EDS side last season.
With a move to David Moyes side looming, a chance in the Premier League awaits the talented winger. With a buy back clause reported to be included in the potential deal, Manchester City will keep an eye on how Borges develops at the Hammers.
