Are Manchester City interested in Leipzig’s Dani Olmo?

According to Transfer Correspondent Peter O’Rourke, City have reignited an interest in Dani Olmo.

Manchester City could be on the market for a new winger this summer following reports that Mahrez will leave the club.

The latest rumours suggest that Al-Ahli will make a £30m bid for the Algerian.

For Football Insider O’Rourke wrote:

“Man City could firm up long-term interest in RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo as they look to replace outgoing star Riyad Mahrez, sources have told Football Insider.

“However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Leipzig are under “no pressure” to sell the Spain international this summer.”

The attacking midfielder is versatile which would suit Pep Guardiola. He can play both right and left wing.

At 25-years-old the Spanish international has quality and experience to offer.

During his time at Dinamo Zagreb he won five Croatian titles, three Croatian Cups and two Player of the Year awards.

Following his transfer to the Bundesliga he is a two time German Cup winner with RB Leipzig. He registered five goals and eleven assists during the 22/23 campaign.

Manchester City have been linked with Olmo previously, however they could now look to him as a Mahrez replacement.

Nevertheless the club have not registered formal interest for Dani Olmo.
