The reported move or Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City to Al-Ahli is gathering pace.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the agents of Riyad Mahrez have requested to speak to Manchester City.

This comes after the Saudi Arabian club offered the City winger a staggering salary to move to the Gulf state. Sam Lee of the Athletic has previously reported an annual salary of £25 million per year on offer to Mahrez to move to Al-Ahli.

Santi Aouna of footmercato.net has reported that the Saudi club will offer the champions a deal of up to €20 million for the winger. He adds that Al-Ahli has offered Mahrez a 4 year deal with the Saudi Pro League club.

There is no word if a €20 million offer will satisfy Manchester City.

With Manchester City, due to begin pre-season today, it shapes as a busy week ahead at the Etihad. Riyad Mahrez future will be one of several possible departures to watch for.

Kyle Walker is also due to discuss with Pep Guardiola his future with the champions. With several key players ready to make a call on their futures at City, a busy week lies ahead.
