Brighton lead the race for Manchester City’s Cole Palmer

Manchester City youngster looks set to go out on loan this summer. Cole Palmer has a number of clubs chasing and Brighton are currently leading the race.

According to James Ducker of the Telegraph, while Brighton are favoured by Guardiola for their style of play, other Premier League clubs are interested.

Burnley are keen on bringing the youngster to Turf Moor. Meanwhile Leicester City have registered interest also. Burnley has already taken City talent this summer.

Both of those clubs have strong links to Cole Palmer. Vincent Kompany had left Manchester City before Palmer was promoted to the senior team. However, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca has worked with him at youth level.

Nevertheless it is Brighton that Pep and Txiki admire. Their style of play is similar to Manchester City’s. Therefore, reports suggest that the club believe the Seagulls would be a good fit.

His game time with the first team has been limited. The loan move would be a good opportunity for the 21-year-old to develop.
