Manchester City youngster Shea Charles is on the verge of completing a move to Southampton.
Fabrizio Romano reported overnight that the Saints are close to completing a £9 million move for the midfielder. Romano adds that any deal would include a buy back clause for City.

Charles is another one of the City academy players who has rose through the ranks. A move to Southampton would give him the chance of first team football in the Championship as he learns his trade.
If the expected move goes ahead, Shea Charles would be another City academy prospect to move to Southampton in recent windows.
Romeo Lavia made the move last season. He impressed in Southampton’s midfield, despite the south coast club getting relegated last season. Lavia’s has been linked to Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea reports Melanie Reddy of SkySports.
Young keeper Gavin Bazuna also made the move from City to the Saints last season. He became Southampton’s number one keeper over the course of last season.
Sam Edozie and Juan Larios were two other City academy youngsters to make the move to Southampton last season.
