Juventus and Arsenal interested in Aymeric Laporte

Juventus and Arsenal are reported to be interested in a deal for City defender Aymeric Laporte according to multiple reports.

La Stampa reports that the Bianconeri have their eyes on a deal for City’s Spanish defender. La Stampa also go on to report that Juve have their eye on a loan deal with a obligation to buy.

Inako Uldade of Mundo Deportivo has also reported that Arsenal have their eyes on a deal for the City defender. Arsenal last season signed Gabriel Jesus and Olexander Zinchenko from the champions.

Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail reported a week ago that no clubs have currently bid for Laporte. It appears their are clubs interested in the City defender, no club has made a concrete bid at this time.

With the arrival of Josko Gvardiol reportedly getting closer, chances for first team football at City may be slim for the City defender.

Laporte only made 24 appearances for the champions last season, after a injury delayed start to the season.

City’s Spanish international fell down the pecking order at City last season. Pep Guardiola preferred Ruben Dias, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake over Laporte last season.

If reports are correct of multiple clubs interested in the City defender, there may be a resolution on the horizon in regards to Laporte’s future.
