Liam Delap set for Hull City move

Liam Delap is set to move to Hull City on loan for next season.

Mike McGrath of the Telegraph reports that Hull City are close to sealing a season-long loan deal for Manchester City’s young striker.

The young striker spent last season on loan at Preston North End and Stoke City in the Championship. He scored 1 goal in 15 appearances for Preston North End and 3 goals in 23 games for Stoke City.

He was also part of the England under-20 World Cup squad for the recent World Cup in Argentina. Delap made two appearances in the tournament as England went out at the round stage of 16 against Italy.

Hull City and Delap will be hoping for a more successful loan spell under Liam Rosenior at Hull.

With Hull City needing a striker in their squad it may be the perfect opportunity for Delap to develop.

If the move is completed by Sunday Delap will travel with Hull City for the pre-season camp in Türkiye.

He joins a host of City youngsters linked with moves away from Manchester City. James Trafford, Cole Palmer, Taylor Harwood-Belis, and Tommy Doyle are all linked with moves away from City to further their development.
