Manchester City to focus on outgoing transfers before next midfield move

Manchester City will focus on outgoing players before any move for another midfielder Jack Gaughan reports.

Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail has reported that Manchester City will focus on the futures of several key players. There are several players futures with Manchester City in doubt at this stage of the transfer window.

With Arsenal paying £105 million for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, City intend to use that price as a gauge for any bids for Bernardo Silva.

No bids have come for Bernardo with PSG and Al Hilal interested in the midfielder.

Aymeric Laporte has been linked with a move away from City also. Despite interest from Aston Villa and Spurs, no bids have come in for the French defender.

Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli has interest in Riyad Mahrez. There is no word at this stage if Mahrez will move to the gulf state, and no bid has come in for the City winger.

Josko Gvardiol’s potential move from RB Leipzig to Manchester City is not depending on any outgoings Gaughan also reports. City are still in talks with Leipzig over a transfer fee for the Croatian international.

Celta Vigo midfielder Gabriel Veiga is linked to Manchester City after they withdrew from the race for Declan Rice. It remains to be seen if City will make a move for the Spanish midfielder.

With the focus on outgoing players, a busy window still lies ahead for Manchester City.
