Manchester City have now confirmed the signing of Mateo Kovacic. The blues release the very first Kovacic interview.
The Croatian joins from Chelsea on a four year deal and will take a famous shirt number.
Following the departure of captain Ilkay Gundogan, Kovacic will be Manchester City’s new number 8.
Upon his announcement, Kovacic had nothing but respect for his new club:
“Anyone who has watched this team under Pep knows how good they are – for me, they are the best in the world. The trophies they have won are clear for all to see, but they are also the best footballing side out there.”
