It’s also reported by Talksport that Rice would prefer to stay in London and move to Arsenal.
Talk of Manchester City bidding for Rice emerged after the Ilkay Gundogan move to Barcelona was reported. There were multiple reports stating City were intending to bid for Rice.
Rice had been touted as a replacement for Ilkay Gundogan with his impending move to Barcelona.
Since initial reports, news had gone quiet on any Manchester City bid for the West Ham midfielder.
With the news breaking that Rice prefers a move to Arsenal, Manchester City will likely move onto other midfield targets.
One such target is already on the way with Mateo Kovacic impending signing from Chelsea.
With Manchester City’s proven track record in the transfer market they will have other targets in mind if Declan Rice does prefer a move to Arsenal.
