Erling Haaland was bought by Manchester City from Dortmund after excelling at the German club. Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 appearances at Dortmund. He arrived at Dortmund from RB Salzburg. Haaland left Dortmund as one of the most coveted players in the game.

Jude Bellingham also comes to mind. The England midfielder moved to Dortmund from Birmingham City. He excelled at Dortmund. Bellingham’s development at Dortmund made him one of the most in demand players this transfer window. Real Madrid won the race for the Englishman’s signature.
