Bundesliga giants Dortmund and Bayern Munich have been tipped to “raid” Manchester City this summer.
Reports indicated that Bayern Munich have been interested in Kyle Walker, with Thomas Tuchel keen on the right-back.
It is now believed that Dortmund could offer Cole Palmer a game time in the Bundesliga.
Christian Falk said in his CaughtOffside column:
“The first contact with Kyle Walker was indeed from Thomas Tuchel. He had some contact around the matches against Manchester City in April and from there he had the feeling that there is a chance.”
Sources close to the club however remain optimistic that Walker will extend his contract which runs out next summer.
Though Bayern are confident they can secure his signature.
Dortmund are known for nurturing young talent and Cole Palmer is that. Despite making only few appearances for Manchester City’s first team he has spent two seasons with them.
Falk states: “Dortmund are also keen on a transfer for Manchester City’s Cole Palmer (21), who has a contract running until 2026.”
Surprisingly there is another name on Bayern Munich’s list of City players. Falk claimed:
“Kalvin Phillips is also on Bayern’s shortlist this summer. The bosses have discussed a transfer but there’s yet to be an offer, as I mentioned in the Bayern Insider Podcast.”
Nevertheless, with Manchester City potentially preparing to enter negotiations with West Ham for Rice, Phillips could be used in a swap deal.
