Manchester City stars international round up

Manchester City stars were again in action for their countries for a third consecutive night. Here is a round up of their performances.

Erling Haaland starred for Norway in their 3-1 European Championship qualifier win over Cyprus.

Haaland scored a brace and set up another in Norway’s win. That performance completes a staggering season for Erling Haaland. Erling Haaland scored 56 goals this season for club and country.

Ilkay Gundogan started for Germany in their 2-nil friendly loss to Colombia. Manchester City’s captain got through 79 minutes before being substituted.

Attention will now shift to Ilkay Gundogan’s future now his international duties are complete.

Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo all started for Portugal. Portugal defeated Iceland 1-nil in their European Championship qualifier.

Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias both completed 90 minutes in Portugal’s 1-nil win. Joao Cancelo was substituted in the second half.

Riyad Mahrez completed 90 minutes and was on the score sheet in Algeria’s friendly against Tunisia. The game finished 1-all.

Ederson also got through 90 minutes for Brazil in their 4-2 friendly loss against Senegal.

The unexpected loss for Brazil rounds out a otherwise successful season for City’s shot stopper.

The contingent of City players that played overnight now all join their City teammates on their holidays.

The Manchester City stars now have 4 weeks off before the start of pre season in July.
