Is Tommy Doyle ready to play in the Premier League?
After a successful loan spell at Sheffield United, helping the Blades get promoted to the Premier League. Doyle appears ready to grace the Premier League.
Doyle shone for Sheffield United this past season. He played 38 times for the Blades in all competitions. He contributed 4 goals and 7 assists in those appearances.

The poise in possession and range of passing shone through in Doyle’s play. Also the City youngster’s ability to dictate the play at such a young age is another stand out attribute for Doyle.
To go into a league as tough as the Championship and perform the way he did speaks volumes of Doyle’s talent.
Especially at a club like Sheffield United who spent the season contending for and ultimately claiming promotion to the Premier League.
With fellow City starlet James McAtee in the ranks, Sheffield United were a club to watch for Manchester City fans last season.
Unfortunately for Tommy Doyle the Manchester City midfield is stacked with supreme talent. A clear pathway to the first team, especially in midfield is blocked by City’s stars in midfield.
To Doyle’s credit he seems aware of the steps required to make it at Manchester City. In a interview with The Mirror, Doyle said:
“I am not in a rush to move anywhere and leave City. The next step for me is to play Premier League football. Once I have done that for a year I’ll see where I am at.”
Tommy Doyle has expressed interest in returning to Sheffield United on loan this season.
Upcoming for Doyle is the UEFA European under 21 Championships. It gives Doyle another chance to put himself on show for potential Premier League clubs.
Whatever step is taken for next season for Tommy Doyle, there is no doubt he will be ready for it. No matter what club he steps out for.
