Carlos Borges is one of the jewels in Manchester City’s EDS crown.
The young Portuguese winger has shone for the City EDS side this past season.
The young winger was named the Premier League 2 player of the season for his outstanding campaign.
Borges scored 21 goals in 24 PL2 appearances and added 11 assists for the Manchester City EDS side. He was the league’s top scorer as City’s academy side won their third consecutive Premier League 2 title.
He plays primarily as a left winger for City’s academy side, with a eye for goal that not many players possess.
Dribbling is also another feature of Borges game. His pace and acceleration coupled with his dribbling ability make him a nightmare for opposition defenders.
His sense for goal just tops the whole package off. It makes Carlos Borges one of the jewels in the crown of Manchester City’s EDS system.
The combination play between Borges and Oscar Bobb at times is spell binding.
Borges is also capped for Portugal at under 19 level.
A skilful player with immense potential, Borges seems ready for first team football in the next step of his development.
James Olley of ESPN has reported that Nottingham Forest have shown interest in City’s young Portuguese dynamo.
There is also talk that Carlos Borges will sign a new deal with Manchester City. Borges has one year left on his current deal.
Sources say talks are at a ‘preliminary stage’ and it remains a possibility that Carlos Borges could sign a new #ManCity contract before going on loan to play regular first-team football.

It seems only a matter of time before Carlos Borges bursts onto the scene. Whether that’s with Manchester City’s first team or on loan elsewhere remains to be seen.
