Rodri, Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez and Nathan Ake were all in action for their countries overnight.
City’s Spanish pair played the full 120 minutes in Spain’s UEFA Nations League final against Croatia. The game finished nil all with the final decided on penalties with Spain prevailing 5-4.
Rodri and Laporte added the UEFA Nations League title to their trophy cabinets with Spain’s penalty shootout win.
Rodri dispatched his penalty in the shootout with the composure expected from Manchester City’s midfield general.
Aymeric Laporte had the chance to win the shootout for Spain. His spot kick crashed into bar. After Lovro Majer’s penalty was saved by Unai Simon, Dani Carvajal put away his penalty to give Spain the trophy.

Rodri was also named UEFA Nations League player of the tournament for his performances with Spain during the tournament.

Nathan Ake also featured in the UEFA Nations League third place playoff for the Netherlands against Italy.
Ake couldn’t prevent the Netherlands finishing fourth as they lost the third place playoff 3-2 to Italy.
Ake again got through 90 minutes for the Dutch.
Riyad Mahrez also played for Algeria in their AFCON qualifier against Uganda.
He came off the bench and provided a assist in Algeria’s 2-1 win over Uganda.
Rodri, Laporte, and Ake now all begin their hard earnt off season holidays before Manchester City’s pre season begins in July.
