Oscar Bobb is technically brilliant. He excels in tight spaces. His assist rate for Manchester City’s academy side highlights this.
Bobb shone this past season with 6 goals and 16 assists in 25 Premier League 2 games.
The young Norwegian has been a crucial part of the City academy side that has won 3 consecutive Premier League 2 titles. He has featured heavily in the past two title winning campaigns.
He was also nominated for the PL2 player of the season alongside Carlos Borges and Dire Mebude.
His quality is there to see, as he is one of the standouts of a quality Manchester City EDS side.
Bobb plays as a number 10 or he can play in a wide position on either side of attack.
In the games for City’s EDS side Bobb’s technical ability shines through. He has the ability to pick a pass when other players wouldn’t see it. Bobb also has immense dribbling ability, at times mesmerizing opponents.
Bobb’s strengths seem well suited for a Pep Guardiola team. There is a hint of City legend David Silva in Bobb’s game.
The City youngster has already been capped for Norway at under 21 level, so the steps have already been made by Bobb in his young career.
The sky does seem the limit for young Norwegian starlet. More exposure with the first team will aid his development going forward.
It seems it’s only a matter of time before Bobb arrives in the Manchester City first team squad.
