Latest transfer window rumours including incomings and outgoings

The summer transfer window is well underway, and Manchester City appear to have a busy one ahead.

The rumour mill is in full swing. The time of year when fans on social media squabble over who knows what.

After all, most miss the football and this is the only entertainment over summer.

Earlier this week, Esteemed Kompany provided the latest transfer updates for you to find in one place.

Now we provide you with “Super Sunday” entertainment as we gather all of the latest.

Potential outgoings

Kyle Walker

Transfer Specialist Fabrizio Romano reported for his CaughtOffside Daily Breifing Substack:

“Kyle Walker is a concrete target for Bayern as they keep looking for a new right back.”

The Athletics Sam Lee reports that Walker is open to the move:

“Kyle Walker is in talks to leave Manchester City for Bayern Munich.

“The deal is not yet complete and there remains work to be done but the expectation is that the England international will leave the Premier League champions following their treble-winning season.

“The fee between the two clubs is yet to be agreed but isn’t expected to be an issue.”

By contrast, Romano states:

“No decision made yet on official bid but the player is being considered in internal talks.”

Ilkay Gundogan

Transfer Expert Ben Jacobs states in his CaughtOffside column:

“The club are awaiting his (Gundogan’s) decision. Barcelona, Arsenal and Dortmund have all been linked. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund are also monitoring Gundogan’s situation.”

Additionally, Jacobs adds: “Nothing is decided yet, but it will be very soon.”

Bernardo Silva

The Portuguese and fan favourite has been rumoured to wanting to leave Manchester for some time.

According to Romano, City requested a “huge fee” from Barcelona last summer and will certainly ask the same this summer.

Although talks are not yet advanced, he remains a “priority” for PSG and they are in contact with his agent.

Riyad Mahrez

Following rumours of a potential move away from Manchester, the man himself has spoken. Earlier, he said:

“I have two years left in Manchester. So far there is nothing. I am concentrating on these two games and then I will go on vacation.”

Joao Cancelo

Jacobs reports that Manchester City are prepared to decide Joao Cancelo’s future soon.

In his column for CaughtOffside Jacobs claims: “Cancelo is open to staying at Bayern the German champions won’t pay the €70 million buy clause.

“Arsenal appreciate Cancelo, too, and the feeling is he will leave Manchester City this summer.”

Cole Palmer

Despite talks of the academy graduate potentially seeking a loan spell, the club are unwilling to consider a sale.

Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News claims that Manchester City have not shared a price for Palmer. Therefore indicating that he is not for sale this summer.

Possible incomings

Gvardiol

Romano reports: “Manchester City are advancing the Joško Gvardiol deal on the player’s side. Negotiations on personal terms are progressing well.

“However, RB Leipzig will only sell Gvardiol for a huge fee. If they don’t receive an acceptable offer, they are prepared to keep him for one more season.”

Kovacic

Manchester City and Chelsea are in talks over Kovacić after player and club agree personal terms.

Romano updates: “The expectation is that the deal will happen, it’s just not done yet.”

Nevertheless, he further adds: “A full agreement is expected very soon.”

Declan Rice

Reports surfaced earlier this week after Arsenal made an opening bid for Declan Rice.

David Ornstein for The Athletic claims that the bid was rejected.

Furthermore, he suggests that Manchester City are “considering an approach” for the player.

Could this be a West Ham ploy to force Arsenals hand for a bid closer to their expectations?

While the City board has the trust of most blues, they will certainly not want to see too many experienced players leave in one window.
