Rodri has again put in another man of the match display, this time for Spain.
In Spain’s UEFA Nations League semi final Rodri was again at his best as Spain beat Italy 2-1 to secure their place in the final.
It continues Rodri’s strong form from this season. Rodri has developed into the best holding midfielder in the world this season at Manchester City.
Rodri was named man of the match in a dominant display in midfield for Spain.

He got through another 90 minutes for Spain. Which speaks volumes to the midfielders general’s fitness after such a long season for Manchester City.
Also in the same game Aymeric Laporte got through the full game in defense for Spain.
Laporte was used as a squad player towards the of the season for Manchester City.
Aymeric Laporte’s future at Manchester City is in doubt. There is talk of Laporte leaving City for more minutes elsewhere.
With Josko Gvardiol heavily linked to Manchester City, Laporte playing well for Spain should leave him with a long list of suitors should he leave Manchester City.
The season may have finished for Manchester City, but the football does not.
Rodri and Aymeric Laporte will have another chance to add more silverware to their collection in the Nations League final against Croatia on Sunday.
